ST. LOUIS - After being delayed due to COVID-19 protocols earlier in the season, the No. 14 UIndy men's lacrosse team (6-1, 6-1 GLVC) visited the No. 12 Maryville Saints (5-1, 5-1 GLVC) on Wednesday for one of their two contests against each other this week. Wyatt Auyer nailed four goals in the Greyhounds' victory, pushing the Hounds to an emphatic victory of 12-5.

The Greyhounds wouldn't play from behind for long, as UIndy outscored Maryville four goals to one, Kansai Garey getting a pair of shots to reach the back of the net off of feeds from Mike Doyle and Brian Robb. Austin Barnett was able to protect the goal in eight of the nine shots from the Saints, the senior collecting a pair of saves in the second quarter.

UIndy would continue their push in the second half, outscoring the Saints 7-2 in the second half alone. After shutting out Maryville completely in the third quarter, they Hounds held the pressure until the very end with netting the final four goals of the contest. Drew Billig would lead the Greyhounds with a pair of goals in the second half of action, assisting on Connor O'Brien's goal in the fourth quarter as well. Auyer would head all student-athletes with five points total off of four goals and one assist, Doyle's team-leading two assists with a pair of goals running behind Auyer with four points in the contest. Barnett would finish the game with eight saves to his name, the senior packing a 61.5 save percentage to lead the Greyhounds to a ranked road win.
