KIRKSVILLE, Mo. – The No. 7 UIndy softball team (27-2, 16-0 GLVC) put on a show at Truman State University Monday afternoon, racking up 10 home runs and a gaudy total of 30 runs. Both games went the minimum five innings, with UIndy defeating the host Bulldogs by scores of 14-0 and 16-0.

The Greyhound bats generated eight homers in the opener, good for their highest total since at least 2001, the first season game-by-game offensive numbers are available. Only one other team in Division II has hit more round-trippers in a single game this season (Tusculum, 9).

Additionally, the 30 runs represented the team's highest total in a single doubleheader since hanging 31 on Illinois Springfield in March of 2012.

Furthermore, UIndy's 1-2 pitching punch of
Hallie Waters and
Kenzee Smith each added to their growing shutout totals, highlighted by Waters' one-hitter. Overall, the Greyhounds have won 20 consecutive games, including five via shutout.
