ST. LOUIS - The No. 1 team in the nation continued to prove worthy of the title today with a decisive victory over the Maryville Saints, 7-0. This win moves the Hounds to 14-0 on the season and pushes the Saints down to 5-2.
HOW IT HAPPENED
It went 1-2-3 in doubles play with the No. 1 doubles team in the nation, juniors Nikol Alekseeva and Anna Novikova, winning 6-2. They were followed by the No. 3 doubles team in the country, seniors Alina Kislitskaya and Kristina Lagoda, as they took down their Saints adversaries 6-1. And to wrap up doubles junior Maria Solnyshkina and sophomore Sofia Sharonova would sweep to win 6-0.
Singles would kick off with Alekseeva winning by retirement. She would be followed by Kislitskaya as she won her first set convincingly 6-0 followed by a 6-2 second set. The Hounds would stay on fire as Lagoda won in straight sets 6-1, 6-1.
The next matches would stay the course with Solnyshkina winning 6-0, 6-2. Junior Anna Valiaeva in the No. 5 slot would keep the straight sets alive 6-4, 6-1. Freshman Lorraine Lissmann would end the afternoon 6-0, 6-2.

The Hounds will hope to keep the fire blazing as they stay in Missouri to take on the Lindenwood Lions on Saturday, April 17.
