INDIANAPOLIS – The 2021 NCAA Division II Women's Golf Championships kick off Monday. The UIndy women's golf team was dubbed the No. 1 seed at the East Super Regional and will be one of nine teams at Prairie View Golf Club in nearby Carmel, Ind., May 3-5.
 
The Hounds earned an automatic berth to the postseason after winning an unprecedented ninth consecutive Great Lakes Valley Conference title over the weekend. They will be joined by just one other GLVC team at regionals, as Missouri-St. Louis earned one of three at-large bids as the fourth seed. G-MAC-champion Findlay was awarded the No. 2 seed, followed by GLIAC-champ Grand Valley State (3) and Tffin (5).
 
Each of the nation's four super regionals will consist of team and individual competition conducted concurrently, with nine teams and four individuals from non-qualifying teams at each site. All participants will compete throughout 54 holes of competition, with the top three teams along with the top three individuals not with an advancing team moving on to the championships. The 2021 NCAA Division II Women's Golf Championships will be held May 11-15 at TPC Michigan in Dearborn, Mich.
