INDIANAPOLIS – Fresh off of
reclaiming the No. 1 spot in the country, the University of Indianapolis women's lacrosse team also took the No. 1 spot in the final regional rankings of the 2021 season.
The Hounds are one of two Great Lakes Valley Conference programs represented with the Lindenwood Lions sitting in the No. 2 spot. A rivalry in the making, UIndy topped Lindenwood in the GLVC title game last weekend.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this year's NCAA tournament will feature just three teams per region for a total of 12 teams rather than 16. The Midwest Regional will take place May 14-16 in St. Charles, MO while the National Championship is slated for May 21-23 in Salem, VA.
The women's lacrosse selection show will air at
NCAA.com on Sunday, May 9 at 8:30 pm ET.
