UIndy Student-Athletes Find Success in the Classroom

INDIANAPOLIS – With all the challenges presented this past year, the UIndy Greyhounds maintained their continued success in the classroom, as the athletics department's 730 student-athletes combined for an impressive 3.36 grade point average for the 2021 spring semester.
 
All 21 of UIndy's athletic programs* posted a semester GPA of 3.0 or better, with nine squads finishing above 3.5. The women's tennis team led the way with a stellar 3.793 spring GPA, followed closely by women's golf at 3.785 and a slew of other teams in the 3.7 range, including women's soccer (3.766), women's cross country (3.713) and women's basketball (3.694). The men's tennis team topped all the men's programs with a 3.653.
 
All teams managed a GPA north of 3.0 in the fall as well, bringing the department's cumulative GPA for the 2020-21 academic year to 3.351.
