INDIANAPOLIS – The University of Indianapolis men's basketball team announced its complete 28-game regular season schedule on Tuesday that includes seven non-conference games in Nicoson Hall.
The Hounds open their second season under Head Coach Paul Corsaro at home, hosting the Midwest Crossover. UIndy will face Lake Erie on Friday, Nov. 12 followed by Grand Valley on Sunday, Nov. 14.
The UIndy Thanksgiving Classic will take place Nov. 23 and 24 with Ohio Valley and Northwood coming to Indianapolis. GLVC foe Illinois Springfield rounds out the four-team round-robin play.
Seven of the eight non-conference games are at home this year. However the lone road game will be a long one as UIndy travels to Marquette, Mich., to take on Northern Michigan in Midwest Region play. That game will also mark their final trek before the holiday break.
The GLVC slate remains at 20 games this season, split evenly with 10 home games and 10 road games. The Hounds face GLVC Tournament Champion Lewis on Thursday, Dec. 2 on the road before hosting the Flyers on Thursday, Jan. 20.
UIndy takes on GLVC regular season champion Truman on Saturday, Feb. 5 in Nicoson Hall. The two teams last met in the opening round of the GLVC Tournament. The eight-seeded Hounds mounted an upset over the top-seeded and nationally-ranked No. 2 Bulldogs, overcoming a 13-point second half deficit behind Cory Miller Jr.'s 27 points.
The exhibition schedule is still being finalized and will be announced upon completion.
