INDIANAPOLIS – It didn't take more than 30 seconds for the Hounds to strike. A header by
Kiki Sauceda who earned her seventh goal of the season from an
Uma Yadav cross, would be the first to cross into the Lewis goal. The No. 24 Greyhounds took down the Flyers, 2-1.
Maria Herrero scored off a penalty kick to the left corner of the Lewis goal, securing the Hounds win.
"She controlled the pace of the game,"
Holly Cox noted about Herrero, "Took some pressure off of our back line,"
The Greyhounds continued to dominate offensively with 14 shots with five on goal. They were led by Herrero who scored one off of two shots, along with
Uma Yadav who posted the lone assist in the match.
Sophia Saucerman manned the goal for both halfs, allowing one goal.
