LEBANON, Ill. – After facing a troubling first few weeks of the year with cancellations due to COVID-19 protocols. The University of Indianapolis women's Basketball team played their first game of 2021 as they fell 58-63 to the McKendree Bearcats.
 
The Hounds ended the first quarter up by four after Marissa Knobloch hit 100 percent of her shots from the court to end the quarter with six of the Greyhounds 15 points.
 
After a neck and neck second quarter the Hounds were down by two going into the half.
 
Sadie Hill brought the heat by posting six rebounds and 18 points. Followed by Knobloch who posted 12 points.  Shira Sasson also contributed six rebounds.
 
The Bearcats were led by Christy Fortune who posted 22 points and had nine rebounds.
 
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
-The Bearcats made it to the free throw line more than the Hounds, making 10 out of 16 attempts, while the Hounds made nine out of 10.
-UIndy outrebounded McKendree 31 to 30.
-The Hounds posted 16 turnovers to McKendree's 11.
