#2 LEBANON, Ill.- In a battle of the Great Lakes Valley Conference's nationally-ranked squads, #5 McKendree came out on top of the #7 UIndy Wednesday night.
The teams split the first four matches of the dual, trading decisions that were all within four points.
Noah Cantu dropped a close 2-0 decision to #2 Christian Mejia at 125, but
Breyden Bailey knotted the match at 3-3 with a 4-0 decision over Ryan Ripplinger at 133.
Ray Rioux fell 2-1 to McKendree's Brody Norman at 141, but #9
Logan Bailey re-tied the match at 6-6 with a 3-2 win over Noah Villareal at 149.

Dawson Combest punctuated the dual for the Hounds with a pin in 8:23 over Jose Champagne, pushing UIndy to a 12-6 lead. The Bearcats took decisions in the next three matches, however, to take a 15-11 lead into the 197 match.
UIndy's final points came from #6
Derek Blubaugh at 197, with the Hound taking a 2-0 decision. McKendree took the final bout of the evening to close out the 18-14 dual.
The Greyhounds are back in action Feb. 5, hosting the Greyhound Duals. UIndy will wrestle Kentucky Wesleyan, Ashland and Tiffin as a part of the event, and then host the Greyhound Open the next day. Â Â
