SPRINGFIELD, IL - The University of Indianapolis men's basketball team bounced back with a road win on Saturday to secure the season sweep over Illinois Springfield.  The Hounds posted a 62-50 win in to improve to 11-6 overall and 5-4 in GLVC play.
HOW IT HAPPENED
UIndy led for the first ten minutes of the low-scoring first half until Illinois Springfield took their first lead of the game at the 10:11 mark.  The next six minutes saw eight lead changes until 
Josiah Tynes put the Hounds head for good with a three-pointer with just under four minutes remaining.  UIndy closed out the first half with an 11-3 run to take a 28-21 lead to the locker room.
 
The Prairie Stars pulled within four early in the second frame but back-to-back three's from 
Cory Miller Jr. and 
Aaron Etherington put momentum back on UIndy's side.  Miller Jr. knocked back a three at the 11:21 mark to give the Hounds their largest lead of the game at 17.
 
Illinois Springfield threatened late, trailing by four with just over six minutes remaining, but this time 
Jakobie Robinson silenced the Stars with a step back three-pointer.  
Jesse Bingham and Miller Jr. combined to shoot a perfect six-for-six from the charity stripe in the final minute to seal the win.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Three Hounds scored in double figures in Miller Jr. (14), Bingham (12) and Tynes (11).
- Bingham and 
Kendrick Tchoua paced UIndy with six rebounds each.
- Robinson posted a team-high three steals and three assists.

Next week features a pair of home games for UIndy.  They'll host William Jewell on Thursday and Truman on Saturday in GLVC action.
