INDIANAPOLIS – The University of Indianapolis men's basketball team couldn't overcome a slow start on Saturday, falling to Truman State University 89-73 in GLVC action. Senior guard Cory Miller Jr. dropped 23 points in the loss, shooting seven-of-nine from three.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Bulldogs led by as much as 22 in the first half. UIndy significantly cut down their deficit with an 11-0 run in the final minutes of the first half. A three from Miller Jr. started the run before back-to-back lay ups from Jack Ballantyne and Josiah Tynes. Dee Montgomery capped off the run with a three of his own.
Miller Jr. knocked back another three at the 1:51 mark to put the Hounds within six but the Bulldogs scored the final seven points of the half to take a 49-36 lead to the break.
Truman led by double digits for a majority of the second half. A corner three from Miller Jr. and a fast break jumper from Tynes pulled the Hounds within four with 6:35 remaining. The Bulldogs pulled away once again with six quick points. Truman ended the game on a 15-3 win to take the win.

- The Hounds tied their season-high with 13 made three's.
- Four scored in double figures led by Miller Jr. Montgomery scored 13 while Kendrick Tchoua and Tynes both recorded 10.
- Truman shot 66.7% (28-of-42) while the Hounds shot 48.1% (26-of-54).
