HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – It was a highly successful trip to Hunstville, Ala. for UIndy Cross Country for the UAH Invitational hosted by the University of Alabama Huntsville. The women's team landed in 15th out of the 44 programs involved in the 5000 meter, while the men's 8K saw the UIndy men finish in 19th out of 48.
WOMEN'S BREAKDOWN
On the women's side six out of the eight runners that ran the race left Alabama with a new PR. The leader among the group was
Hanna Stamm, who ran a 30 second PR, arriving in 67th with a time of 18:30.6. Ten seconds later
Brianna Lawson crossed in 81st at 18:40.2, setting a massive two-minute PR in the process.
Mariah Davis was the last Greyhound to break the top-100, finishing just two spots after Lawson in 83rd with her first career sub-19-minute 5K. Her name sister,
Mariah Judy shared in the milestone, crossing the line at 18:58.6 for a personal best.
Hannah Wells and
Emma Gaston rounded out the PR crew for the women's side with Gaston have a massive two-minute PR.
MEN'S BREAKDOWN
On the men's side
AJ Goecker was the lead man, finishing with a time of 25:09.4 and in 106th. Aside from Goecker, every single Hound on the men's team hit a PR.
Andrew Bixler was the first, finishing just three seconds after Goecker with a time of 25:12.4, his first sub-26-minute 8K.
Nyc Sigmon landed himself a ten second PR, finishing at 25:41.4.
Harnoor Dosanjh and
Nico Barrett both shaved a minute off their best 8K times.
Blake Ellis went on to PR by eight seconds while
Alex Freeman took just one second of his personal best.
Ethan Walsh,
Liam Arthur and
Devon Whitaker were the final Hounds to cross with the trio all recording their first sub-27-minute 8Ks.
