INDIANAPOLIS – The No. 3 University of Indianapolis were voted by the eight GLVC head coaches as the favorite for the 2022-23 season. The poll featured the league's eight wrestling schools, with UIndy receiving 49 points and seven first-place votes (coaches are not permitted to vote for their own team). This comes off of a pair of second-place finishes at the Super Region 4 tournament, as well as the GLVC Championships last winter.
At the NCAA Championships the Hounds finished sixth behind a national runner-up performance out of Derek Blubaugh. He returns alongside other first team All-GLVC earners Logan Bailey and
Dawson Combest, as well as Second Team selections Breyden Bailey and Cale Gray.
