ST. CHARLES, MO – In their final match up against Lindenwood University, the UIndy men's basketball team was victorious, grinding out a 75-72 win over the Lions. The win puts the Hounds at 16-9 overall and 10-7 in GLVC play with one regular season game remaining.
With Lindenwood moving to Division I next year, UIndy finishes 4-0 against the Lions all-time.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The two teams traded the lead five times in the first five minutes of play. Trailing by one Jesse Bingham went two-for-two at the charity stripe to put the Hounds on top by one. Back-to-back lay ups from Cory Miller Jr. put UIndy ahead for good. Bingham later drained a jump shot on two straight possessions to give the Hounds a 40-28 lead at the break.
The Lions pulled within one with less than three minutes remaining after a pair of three's. One minute later Jakobie Robinson threw down a dunk to silence the home crowd.  UIndy made three free throws in the final 90 seconds before Lindenwood made a three-pointer on their final possession but the Hounds hung on for their 10th conference win of the season.
