Men's Basketball Close Regular Season with loss at Maryville

ST. LOUIS—The UIndy men's basketball team wrapped up the regular season with a 75-69 loss at Maryville University Saturday evening. The Greyhounds were led by senior Cory Miller Jr. and his game-high 22 points.

INS & OUT
Up three at the break, the Saints opened the second half with a 10-3 run, building an 11-point lead before the first media timeout. But Aaron Etherington drained a triple out of the stoppage, and the Hounds held their host to just two field goals in the next six minutes to slice into the margin.

UIndy continued to battle, cutting it to four points twice in the final 30 seconds. They would not get any closer, however, as the host Saints sank 5 of 6 free throw attempts down the stretch to keep it a two-possession game.

Miller finished 8 for 18 from the floor. He was joined in double-figures by Jakobie Robinson, who amassed 12 points and a team-best seven boards, while Etherington added 11 points off the bench, sinking 3 of 5 from beyond the arc.

INSIDE THE BOX
- Both Jesse Bingham and Josiah Tynes were credited with four assists.
- Kendrick Tchoua finished with seven points and six rebounds.
- UIndy shot 57 percent from the field in the first half and 47 percent for the game, but only connected on 7 of 13 FTs (.538).
