INDIANAPOLIS—The No. 4 UIndy softball team spent Monday afternoon giving the home faithful their first glimpse of this year's team. The Greyhounds did not disappoint, earning 6-1 and 4-0 wins against the visiting Lewis Flyers under near-perfect weather conditions.

GAME 1 | UIndy 6, Lewis 1
The Flyers took an early lead by pushing across a run in the top of the first inning. That would be the lone run surrendered by starter
Kenzee Smith, however, as the sophomore ace went on to scatter six hits and just one walk on the way to win No. 11 on the season.
Â
Meanwhile, the Hounds quickly wrestled the lead away with a pair of runs in the bottom of the first and went on to score six unanswered runs in all. UIndy had 15 hits for the game – at least one from each of UIndy's nine hitters.
Hanna Burris and
Dominique Proctor both earned RBI doubles, part of a combined five hits from the duo.
