ST. LOUIS, MO. – After back-to-back GLVC Offensive Player of the Week honors, UIndy standout,
Abigail Lagos, earned her career high 11 points in leading the Greyhound offense with six goals and five assists as the Hounds downed the Maryville Saints, 23-2 on Thursday afternoon.
Lagos also becomes the Greyhounds single-season goal leader as she bypasses former leader with the six goals posted in today's matchup, bringing her season total to 72.
UIndy, who is undefeated in conference play, now holds a record of 13-1 overall.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Greyhound offense flexed its strength today in every manner, with three Hounds earning three goals or more, and outshooting the Saints 41 to 12.
Sarah Klein was the first to score for the Greyhounds and
Kylee Manser was the last to draw blood in the match up, along with notching another during the matchup. The Hounds have continued to show depth offensively and defensively.
Quinn Malcolm continued her hot streak with four goals and an assist, while defensively
Peyton Romig earned 17 draw controls, caused a turnover, and scored a goal.
Mekayla Montgomery caused three turnovers, picked up two ground balls, and earned four draw controls.
Cassidy King had four saves while splitting time in net with
Audrey Moran.
