#2 Hounds Down Hawks 22-1

QUINCY, Ill. – The University of Indianapolis women's lacrosse team continued to show why it's among the best in the nation with a 22-1 conference win over Quincy. The Hounds extend it's record to 14-1 and 5-0 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
Sarah Klein scored early, just past the 11-minute mark. The Hounds would quickly stack up goals upon goals as they put themselves up 10-0 to end the first quarter. Klein and Quinn Malcolm would start off by leading the Hounds in the first quarter with Malcolm posting two and Klein earning a hat trick.
 
Klein would go on to lead the Hounds offensively with six goals and two assists. While Mackenzie Winn took the Hounds a step further with four goals of her town and an assist. Abigail Lagos made plays as the captain with three assists and three goals.
 
Defensively, Peyton Romig continued to show why she is recognized as one of the best of the best with 12 draw controls and and two caused turnovers, along with two goals of her own.
 
Cassidy King and Audrey Moran split time in the net, with Moran earning two saves and King earning one.
 
INSIDE THE BOX
-The Hounds outshot Quincy 38 to five.
-UIndy earned eight free position attempts.
-Indianapolis completed all its clears and forced 18 Quincy turnovers.
 
UP NEXT
The Hounds will return home against No. 8 ranked Lindenwood on April 22, at 4 p.m. ET.
