#3 Hounds Crush #7 Lindenwood in Final Regular Season Home Game

INDIANAPOLIS – The University of Indianapolis women's lacrosse team was out for vengeance against the Lindenwood Lions, and they got it. Marking it's largest win over the Lions in UIndy history, the Hounds took the Top-10 win 16-9 in downing the No. 7 ranked team.

Peyton Romig would show why she will go down in Division II Lacrosse history with a five goal, two assist, and 14 draw controls in leading the Hounds. The five goal game ties her career high which she set against Findlay in March of 21'.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The matchup started close, with the Hounds scoring two off the bat and being chased with two Lindenwood goals. The Greyhounds began extending their lead little by little until a five-goal run to end the third quarter and kick off the fourth would put them out of reach.

Chants from the stands called for each team, but it was the Greyhounds that prevailed.

Abigail Lagos would be the one to cap the match off for UIndy with an unassisted rocket just over the three-minute mark.

Sarah Klein would also carry the Hounds offense with four goals of her own, while Lagos earned three goals and a pair of assists.

Defensively, Kara Antonucci forced two turnovers, picked up six draw controls, and added a ground ball.

While Cassidy King wrapped up the Greyhounds win in net with five saves in the second half, adding to Audrey Moran's four first half saves.

INSIDE THE BOX
