Kyle Medeiros Joins Volleyball Coaching Staff

INDIANAPOLIS – UIndy volleyball head coach Jason Reed has announced the addition of Kyle Medeiros to his coaching staff.  Medeiros will serve as the assistant coach and recruiting coordinator for the Greyhounds.

"I'm so excited to have Kyle on staff.  He has coached a variety of levels and has head coaching experience at the Division II level.  We are fortunate to have someone of that caliber and experience with us in the gym and out recruiting," said head coach Jason Reed.

Medeiros previously spent three years as the head coach at Assumption University of the Division II Northeast 10 Conference.  He guided the Greyhounds to a NE10 Championship Tournament appearance in his third season.  Under Medeiros, three Greyhounds earned All-Conference honors including a pair of All-Rookie accolades.

"We are fortunate to have him on board.  I'm confident he will bring a different look to the gym and share a new passion and excitement into the upcoming seasons," commented Reed.

From 2011-18, Medeiros served as head volleyball coach for the Rhode Island Blast Volleyball Club. He has also held the position of head volleyball coach for the East Greenwich School Department (CT) where he led the high school's junior varsity team to 2016 Junior Varsity State Champions.  During his three years as head coach for the boys and girls volleyball teams for Lincoln High School (RI), Medeiros led both teams to a series of victories including a 2019 Division III State Final appearance for the boys' varsity team and a 2018 Division II State Final appearance for the girls' varsity team. Medeiros was named the Lincoln School Department 2018-19 Coach of the Year as well as Division II RIVCA Coach of the Year in 2018.

Medeiros also served as the boys' club director and girls head volleyball coach of the Elite Northeast Volleyball Youth Club, where he coached various age groups that competed both regionally and nationally.  In addition to his coaching duties, he helped develop plans and executed the creation of a boys' division within the club.

A 2011 graduate of Rhode Island College, Medeiros holds a Bachelor of Science degree in business management.
