INDIANAPOLIS – The University of Indianapolis women's tennis team kicked off conference play the best way they knew how by sweeping Lewis 7-0 on Saturday morning at the UIndy Tennis Center.
The Hounds stood out early in doubles, with all three duos taking wins.
Anna Novikova and
Maria Solnyshkina took a 6-1 win in the one spot, while
Maissane Aik and
Arina Amaning along with
Isabella Dunlap and
Sofia Sharonova took the 6-2 win.
In singles, Novikova was the first to take a win, showing her dominance in the No. 1 spot with a 6-2, 6-0 win.
Isabella Dunlap defeated Nefeli Zafeiri 6-4, 6-2 while
Maissane Aik added a win to her singles record with 6-4, 6-1 sets.
Arina Amaning,
Lea Cakarevic, and
Maria Solnyshkina also took singles wins.
