INDIANAPOLIS – The 2022 NCAA Division II Women's Golf Championships kick off on Monday. The UIndy women's golf team was dubbed the No. 2 seed at the East Regional and will be one of 15 teams at Shoal Creek Golf Course in Kansas City, MO, May 2-4.
The Hounds are gunning for their ninth regional crown since 2012 in their 15th consecutive trip to the postseason. Last season, UIndy won its eighth regional crown in nine seasons before making a national quarterfinal appearance.
UIndy earned an automatic berth to the postseason after winning an unprecedented tenth consecutive Great Lakes Valley Conference title over the weekend. They will be joined by four other GLVC teams at regionals, including Missouri-St. Louis (4 seed), Lindenwood (6), Lewis (10), and McKendree (11).

This year's championship will feature 48 teams and 24 individuals going into the regional round. The top five teams in the east, south and west regions, the top 3 in the central along with the top two individuals from each region not on these teams will move on to the championship at Chattahoochee Golf Club in Gainesville, Georgia. Regional competition is set for May 2-4 across four locations: Davie, Florida; Hot Springs, Arkansas; Kansas City, Missouri; and Stockton, California. The finals will be held May 10-14.
