ST. LOUIS, MO. – The University of Indianapolis men's tennis team took the first win of the Great Lakes Valley Championship Tournament over the Rockhurst Hawks on Friday afternoon in St. Louis, Mo. on Maryville University's campus.
In doubles,
Jason Gerweck and
Pedro Franca were the first to finish in doubles with a 6-1 win over Agustin Cortes and Brain King.
Edgar Destouet and
Yoann Viel were the next to take the win's in the No. 2 spot with a 6-3 win to take the first point for the Hounds.
Nikolaj Talimaa and
Zac Faveri's match went unfinished.
On the singles side,
Zac Faveri took the first win in a pair of 6-2 sets. While All-GLVC First Team honoree's Talimaa and Destouet were the next two to finish their matches, while Talimaa taking a two 6-3 sets and Destouet taking a 6-2 and 7-6 match.
