Box Score SPRINGFIELD, Ill. - The University of Indianapolis No. 13 ranked Men's Tennis Team downed the University of Illinois Springfield, 4-0, on Saturday afternoon.
The Hounds took all three doubles sets and clinched the 4-0 win by taking three straight singles wins.
After
Zac Faveri and
Nikolaj Talimaa took a 6-3 win in the No. 1 spot,
Edgar Destouet and
Yoann Viel would secure the point with a 6-1 win in the No. 2 spot to grant the Hounds the first point of the match.
Pedro Franca and
Jason Gerweck's match went unfinished.
"We had a successful weekend competing even though conditions weren't the best," said Head Coach
Malik Tabet. "We played for each other and are coming home with two wins,"
It went one, two, three in singles with the first three positions earning the win for the Hounds. Destouet took the win in the No. 1 spot with 6-1, 6-2 matches. While No. 34 ranked Talimaa took the win in the two spot with a pair of 6-2 sets, Viel took the three spot win in 6-2, 6-4.

Jason Gerweck, and Franca's matches went unfinished.
