BOLIVAR, Mo.—The No. 5-ranked UIndy softball team upped it win streak to eight with a doubleheader sweep at Southwest Baptist Saturday, downing the host Bearcats by scores of 11-3 and 8-1.

Both teams delivered a flurry in the first. The score eventually settled at 3-3 after one inning, with
Emily O'Connor and
Tara Williams each notching early RBIs.

The game remained tied until a fourth-inning flex from the Hounds. Back-to-back RBI singles from
Dominique Proctor and
Megan Nichols got things rolling, while a three-run bomb from catcher
Lexy Rees punctuated the rally.

UIndy tacked on three more in the fifth to run-rule the host Bearcats.
Tara Williams provided the pop with a solo homer, while
Hanna Burris and Proctor added a double and an RBI single, respectively.

Sophomore-ace
Kenzee Smith earned the complete-game win to move to 16-3 for the season. She struck out nine batters and allowed three hits and just one walk.

All nine UIndy hitters finished with at least one run and one hit.
Sydnee Perry went 2-for-3 with a pair of runs.

Rees' game-one homer gave her 10 for the season, making her just the fifth player in program history to record multiple double-digit home run seasons.

Emily O'Connor in the top of the first accounted for the first and only run of the game through five innings.

The UIndy lead stood at 1-0 until the top of the sixth when the Greyhounds lowered the hammer with a five-run rally.
Grace Mosele opened the flood gates with a two-run triple, while Perry (RBI single) and Proctor (RBI double) piled on. Nichols made it all but official with a two-run bomb, good for her first collegiate home run.

Haylie Foster added a win to her already-impressive pitching record, upping her mark to 16-1 on the season. She allowed just three hits and three walks on the day while fanning nine.
