Hounds Strike Back! Major Comeback Sends Hounds to Round of 8

ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Fla. – Nikolaj Talimaa was in a familiar position, in fact, he had been here only one match ago – only this time, the Greyhound season was on the line. With a swift close net hit back onto Ouachita Baptist No. 36 ranked Santiago Kearney's court, he had clinched the match for the Hounds. Within moments his teammates flooded the court, they would move on to the Round of Eight in the NCAA DII Championship Tournament.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
Talimaa and duo's partner, Zac Faveri, would secure their match quick, with a 6-3 win. However, Ouachita Baptist wouldn't go down quietly, taking the next two matches in a 6-4 win and then a 7-6 win over the Hounds.
 
The Greyhounds were down after a seat gripping tri of doubles, 1-0, starting the singles a point down wouldn't phase them.
 
After, the Tigers notched another point it would be Yoann Viel would be the first to strike, taking a redemption win after falling in doubles with a 6-2, 6-3 win. Then it would be Edgar Destouet to exert his dominance in a 7-6, 6-2 win over No. 18 ranked Oliviera Fransico.
 
Jason Gerweck's match would tie the match at three for the Hounds – win a 6-3, 7-5 win.
 
Finally, the teams crowded the No. 2 position players, it would come down to this. Talimaa would succeed.
