In the final quarter of play, the Greyhounds outscored Maryville by 16 and limited the Saints to scoring just eight points on a rough 2-of-14 shooting effort. In return, UIndy went 7-of-12 from the field (58.3 percent) and scored 24 points. Notably, the Hounds trailed by nine with 7:20 left in the game.

Eight different players scored one or more point tonight for UIndy and four ended in double figures. The duo of
Ilani Williams-Harris and
Sadie Hill each finished with 16 points while
Jodi Mullins and
Liv Becker each notched 13.
Â
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Hounds had just four buckets in the opening quarter, which were a pair of 3-pointers from Williams-Harris and a pair of layups from Hill. Despite this low-scoring start, Maryville also struggled putting the ball in the net and shot just 35.3 percent in return to keep the contest close after the opening frame. The proceeding 10 minutes of action saw much improvement from both teams as the Saints carried a lead of six into the intermission.
Â
Maryville maintained a firm lead through the third and into the fourth and looked to have gained control of the contest. However, a massive 9-0 scoring run by the Hounds midway through the final quarter completely shifted the momentum of the game and locked the score up at 65 each. Then, a layup by
Idalis Ortiz with a little over two minutes left gave UIndy a 68-67 lead. From there, the Hounds held strong and cruised to the conference victory.
