TEMPE, Ariz. – A quartet of UIndy women's tennis singles players and one doubles team are ranked in the first ITA rankings of the year.
 
Tyffaine Pais headlines the group of Hounds, as the reigning ITA Midwest Regional champ comes in at No. 7, while runner-up Benedetta Sensi arrives at No. 19. Ana Hollweg at No. 25 and Diane Flament at No. 45 rounds out the singles rankings for the Hounds to start the year.
 
Drury's Ewa Samberger rounds out the rest of the GLVC field in the Nov. 15 rankings.
 
For doubles, Flament and Sensi were dominant in the regional before an injury halted their run. For their efforts they'll start the winter at No. 19. Only one GLVC-duos pairing makes an appearance in the ITA rankings, that belonging to the regional champs in Caroline Velazquez and Billur Gonlusen of Maryville.
 
The UIndy women's tennis team returns to action on Jan. 28, traveling to Ohio for a matchup with Division I Miami (OH).
