MORGANTOWN, W.V.—The UIndy swimming & diving teams closed the calendar year at the Almost Heaven LC Open. Hosted by West Virginia University, the four-day, long-course meet was held at Aquatic Center at Mylan Park in Morgantown, W.V., Dec. 16-19.
Racing alongside the Greyhounds were a number of mostly-Division I schools, with the host Mountaineers also welcoming Duquesne, Florida Tech, Fresno State, Harvard (men's only), James Madison, Kenyon, Savannah College of A&D, Stanford, Tulane, Alabama, Findlay, Xavier and Yale.
Just ten Greyhounds made the trip. The meet featured a 50-meter pool as opposed to the normal 25-yard distance in college swimming, offering the opportunity for Olympic trials qualification while still prepping for postseason racing.
