INDIANAPOLIS – The No. 8 UIndy men's lacrosse team (2-0) earned a comeback victory on Saturday, defeating Westminster (0-1) by a score of 15-11 from Key Stadium.

The Greyhound defense was pivotal in the win, causing 17 of the Griffins' 27 turnovers.
Evan Soucy finished with five caused turnovers, while
Kyle Basch led the team with seven ground balls.

Trailing by a single goal at halftime, UIndy outscored Westminster, 9-4, in the second half.
Nick Randgaard put the Greyhounds ahead for good with under 10 minutes remaining in the fourth quarter, netting the second of his back-to-back goals at the 5:39 mark. The junior capped a three-goal run by UIndy at the end of the contest, following scores from
Wyatt Auyer and
Ben Foster late in the period.

The Griffins had the Hounds' number early, leading by as many as two on a couple occasions.
Drew Billig scored his final goal of the contest midway through the third to give UIndy a 9-8 advantage, as the home team rattled off three straight scores.

Sam Arfsten joined Soucy with a pivotal caused turnover late in the fourth as UIndy clung to a one-goal advantage. Soucy assisted Auyer on his sixth and final goal of the morning, scooping up a ground ball and leading the charge on the clear.

Billig tallied another nine points in the win and is now just eight tallies away from matching Parker Kump's program record (210). The senior is also nine goals from the 100-mark milestone.
