KEARNEY, Neb. – The No. 7-ranked University of Indianapolis women's tennis team found victory in the first round of the consolations for this year ITA Indoors, the victory coming over the host school in the Nebraska-Kearney Lopers.

The doubles point was smooth for the Greyhounds, with the No. 7 UIndy squad only needing the No. 2 and No. 3 doubles matches to secure the point.
Diane Flament and
Lea Cakarevic, the resident French duo, were perfect out of No. 3, winning 6-0.
Maria Fiacan and
Margarita Andreiuk, just minutes later, secured the point with a 6-2 victory.
Aimee Reynoso kept the domination going for the Hounds, going nearly completely perfect, winning 6-1, 6-0 to make it 2-0. With only two more matches needed to win the match, Cakarevic was up to the fight, winning 1-6, 6-3, 6-2, making it a 3-0 match. The Lopers refused to be swept, claiming a win at No. 5 singles. No. 18
Anna Novikova was the final dagger in the match for the Hounds, winning 6-2, 6-2 to claim the win for UIndy.

The Hounds will battle it out at 11 a.m. against Flagler College for the fifth place spot at this year's ITA DII Indoors on Sunday.
