INDIANAPOLIS – The University of Indianapolis women's basketball team allowed just four points in the third quarter against the Quincy Hawks on Saturday afternoon in a 68-58 win at Nicoson Hall. With the victory, the Hounds improve to 13-9 (9-5 GLVC) while Quincy falls to 10-13 (6-9 GLVC).
All 11 player for UIndy who touched the floor this afternoon scored two or more points.
Elana Wells guided the team with 22 points while
Sadie Hill added a double-double of 18 points and 11 rebounds.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Both teams battled tough for the upper hand through the first 20 minutes of play, with the Hounds taking a slim 38-34 advantage into the locker room. Notably, Wells stepped up big and drilled three 3-pointers in the first half to play a key part in guiding the Hounds to the lead.
The turning point of the contest came in the third quarter where Quincy scored just four points on 1-of-12 shooting from the field. Because of this, UIndy outscored the Hawks by 13 in the quarter and firmly controlled play the rest of the way. Despite a late push by the Hawks in the final quarter, the Greyhounds easily weathered the storm and collected a win in its sixth contest out of the last seven.

-Wells was 8-of-10 from the field and 4-of-6 from behind the arc for UIndy.
-The rebounding battle was locked at 30 by each team.
-UIndy managed a 17-of-23 effort from the charity stripe.
