Greyhounds Dubbed #1 Seed Again for Midwest Region

INDIANAPOLIS – The University of Indianapolis women's tennis team is the No. 1-seed in the NCAA DII Midwest Regional once again, earning hosting rights and an automatic bid after their fourth GLVC Championship in a row.

The Hounds will start their tournament, much like they did last year, with a bye in the first round, facing the winner of the No. 4 and No. 5 seeds in Findlay (18-5) and GLVC-foe Drury (15-5). The latter of those two schools being a recent and familiar challenge for the Greyhounds, being the school, the Hounds defeated for the conference title.

On the other side of the Midwest bracket, Wayne State will host after a 20-3 season. That side of the bracket is filled with familiar foes to the Warriors, with GLIAC s Michigan Tech (9-7) and Grand Valley State (14-6) making appearances. Tiffin also lands in the tournament, adding to the G-MAC representation in this year's regional.

All matches will begin at 10 am on Monday and Tuesday at Center Grove High School in Greenwood.

More details will be announced as they become available.  Stay tuned to UIndyAthletics.com for a full preview later this week.
