QUINCY, Ill. – The No. 4 UIndy men's lacrosse team (11-2, 5-0 GLVC) cruised its way back into the win column on Saturday, capping the regular season with an 18-4 victory over Quincy (8-10, 0-5 GLVC). The Greyhounds finished their league slate with a perfect 5-0 record and earned the top seed in next weekend's GLVC Championship Tournament.

Triston Schaffer scored a game-high seven goals, matching his season-high total from the opener back on Feb. 4 against Lake Erie. Defensively, starting netminder
KC Carlson made seven saves in the first half while surrendering just one goal.

Wyatt Auyer scored off a pass from
Beau Howard at the 11:31 mark in the first quarter and the Hounds never looked back. Auyer's 35th goal of the spring sparked an 8-0 UIndy run to begin the game, including scores from
Evan Soucy and
Keegan Laughlin midway through the second frame.

Schaffer scored four of his seven goals after halftime, with the game's final netter coming from the sophomore as 4:03 read on the scoreboard in the fourth quarter.
Bill McCall preceded Schaffer's final tally with his first-career goal, becoming the ninth Greyhounds of the afternoon to enter the scoring column.

Caleb Parker secured 14 faceoff wins in the win, helping jumpstart the UIndy attack. The junior ends the regular season with a 56.7 percent success rate at the x.
