SPRINGFIELD, Ill. – The UIndy women's tennis team took another GLVC victory this Friday night, triumphing over the UIS Prairie Stars by a score of 4-2.
 
INS AND OUTS
The doubles action was clean for the Hounds. Sofia Sharonov and Anna Novikova, the No. 10-pair in the country, made easy work of their UIS-foes, winning 6-4. Margarita Andreiuk and Maria Fiacan did much of the same, winning 6-3.
 
The Prairie Stars fought back however, taking victories at No. 3 and No. 5 singles to take the lead. Clutch performances out of No. 1 singles player Novikova and No. 6 slot Sharonova edged the lead back in UIndy's favor. Andreiuk out of the No. 2 slot was the decider, winning a tough second set to secure the 4-2 dub.

The Hounds turn around and head to Romeoville, Ill., tomorrow for a battle with the Lewis Flyers tomorrow morning at 11 a.m.
