Â
The Greyhounds now have one game left on the docket as part of their NCAA foreign tour in Nova Scotia this week. UIndy clawed to a 76-69 victory on Monday evening at Dalhousie University.
Â
The Greyhounds return to action Wednesday night, squaring off with a Canadian All-Star team at Dalplex on the campus of Dalhousie University.
Â
Now let sophomore
Sean Craig describe the last couple days of UIndy's visit to Nova Scotia in his own words below:
Â
"I walked into Dalplex Arena not knowing what to expect the atmosphere to be from the home crowd not having played in Canada before. I was blown away by the support they brought for their home town as they filled up the gym and brought energy for their home team. The fans made it great to play as they made the energy in the gym feel like a rivalry game making it thrilling as they rooted on their home team. It was also great having a nice section of our fans thanks to the people who traveled with us and
Josiah Tynes family all brining the juice. When it came to playing in a game against international team of Dalhousie University, they brought everything they had and made us fight for everything. They made us face adversity throughout the game, which is something this group had yet to experience and it was a great challenge learning how to work with new guys how to push through and get the job done.
Â
"Our Segway tour on Tuesday morning was equally informative as it was fun. It was the first time I had ever rode a Segway and was a great experience. Our tour guides took us up and down the boardwalk explaining multiple events of the history of the town and the landmarks, such as the original British Fort in the province. After we completed the Segway tour, me and a couple of teammates walked on and toured the H.M.C.S. SACKVILLE(a corvette ship from WW2) before getting lunch at Salt Yard Social. We got to eat along the boardwalk where the view was just as good as the food. We ended the day out with a stop at Cows Ice Cream that our Segway tour guide mentioned as the hometown favorite spot with the ice cream lived up to hype."
