Greyhounds Sprint Past Bearcats in Pack the House Triumph

INDIANAPOLIS – The UIndy men's basketball team pulled away from McKendree on Saturday afternoon, earning an 87-76 victory from inside Nicoson Hall at the annual Pack the House event.

Paul Zilinskas scored a team-high 21 points, with Jesse Bingham close behind with 18 and a game-high five assists. David Ejah played another well-rounded game, finishing with eight points, eight boards, five blocks, and two assists.

INS & OUTS
The Greyhounds led for 30+ minutes on Saturday, including nearly the entirety of the second half. Ejah put the team up for good with a pair of free throws at the 16:09 mark and Zac Szul followed with a jumper, his first of four second-half field goals.

UIndy protected the rock at all costs against the Bearcats, turning possession over just five times. The hosts played lock-down defense – as usual – forcing 15 McKendree miscues, committing 11 steals, and blocking eight shots. Bingham was charged with three thefts, while five teammates joined him in the steal column.

Kendrick Tchoua has strung together three straight great performances, recording 15 points, five rebounds, and two steals. The fifth-year big man brought the house down with a pick-slam in the first half.

INSIDE THE BOX
-The Hounds attempted 37 free throws, their most in a game since Feb. 18, 2023 against Southwest Baptist.
- Julian Steinfeld secured eight rebounds, including five on the offensive glass, in 10+ minutes in the first half.
- UIndy finished with 24 bench points, with Sean Craig and Jarvis Walker contributing six apiece.
