ROMEOVILLE, Ill. - The UIndy men's basketball team was defeated by Lewis, 82-81, in overtime. The Greyhounds are now 12-6 on the season, 8-2 in GLVC play.
Jarvis Walker finished the contest with 24 points, this is his highest-scoring game this season. Walker was 7-for-13 from the field and 4-for-8 from beyond the arc.
Paul Zilinskas also a great day on the floor. Zilinskas had 19 points and was perfect from the charity stripe (7-for-7).Â
INS & OUTS
The Greyhounds came out hot in the second half, finishing with 41 points in final half. The Hounds overcame an 11-point deficit along the way, sending the game into overtime.Â
UIndy opened overtime with a 9-4 run for the first four minutes.
Jesse Bingham scored four of those points to give the Greyhounds a five-point lead. Lewis stayed toe-to-toe with the Hounds keeping the game within a few points until a buzzer-beater three by the Flyers sealed the win.
INSIDE THE BOX
- Bingham was the third Greyhound to finish in double-digits with 17 points.
- As a team, UIndy finished the game 46 percent from the field (28-of-61).
- Zalinskas was able to assist his teammates in reaching the basket. The junior had a team-high five assists on the night.

Josiah Tynes also finished with a perfect night from the free-throw line, going 3-for-3.
MORE NOTES
Beau Freicks was the leading scorer for Lewis. Freickes had 22 points on the night. ... The Flyers lead the all-time series 52-40 against UIndy.Â

The Greyhounds will continue their road series next weekend. The team will travel to Missouri to face Missouri S&T on Feb. 1 and Maryville on Feb. 3. The games will tip-off at 8:30 and 4 p.m. ET, respectively.
