INS & OUTS
UIndy found ample success versus the talented Lakers despite taking on nationally-ranked
GLVC opponents less that 24 hours prior.
Â
Junior
Jeremias Pock was a clear standout, earning three individuals wins and contributing on the Hounds' 200 medley relay victory. The first-year Greyhound notched a B-cut time in the 200 IM, out-touching teammate
Cedric Buessing—a rare feat—in the process.
Â
Buessing, meanwhile, won both the 500 and 100 free races, including a commanding 25-second victory in the latter.
Â
Celina Schmidt (100 breast, 200 breast) and
Andrea Gomez (200 fly, 500 free) also notched two individual wins, while reigning-GLVC Diver of the Year
Alexis Lumaj won both diving events.
Â
Kirabo Namutebi crept closer to the A-cut time in the women's 50 free, with her 22.63 the only sub-23 mark.
Â
Other notables included a pair of wins by
Mihir Ambre, who led a trio of Hounds at the top of the 100 fly results.
Silas Buessing was the fastest 200 backstroker on the men's side,
Jamie Glover won the women's 1000 free, and
Caroline Reinke was the victor in the women's 100 back.
Â
UIndy won both 200 medley relays, with Reinke, Schmidt, Gomez and Namutebi combining forces for the women; and
Mattia Rossi, Pock,
Oskar Sawicki and
Aqeel Joseph winning the men's race.
