FINDLAY, Ohio – The UIndy women's basketball team fell to in-region Findlay in its final contest before the Thanksgiving holiday on Saturday by a score of 69-50.

The Oilers picked up their first win in the series since 2005 and just their second in the all-time series.

Ruby Garner finished with a team-high 12 points on 5-of-7 shooting, while
Amyrah Sapenter secured seven rebounds and three steals.

The Greyhounds jumped out to a quick start, sparked by a Sapenter triple for the game's first points.

A 3-pointer from Garner stretched the UIndy lead to 15-5 just seven minutes into the game, before the host Oilers found their footing. Findlay capped the first frame on an 11-0 run before the horn.

The Oilers took the lead for good 90 seconds into the second quarter with two of their 26 made free throws on the afternoon.
Patricia Chikamba got the Hounds within six late in the half with four straight points, however, the Oilers would lead by double digits for the final 14 minutes of the game.

Jaelynne Murray produced a season-high 11 points, including a pair of triples, along with five boards.
