ROMEOVILLE, Ill. - The UIndy men's and women's cross country team competed at the NCAA DII Midwest Regionals on Saturday. The event took place on the campus of Lewis University at their home cross country course. The men took on an 8k race while the women ran a 6k.
Junior
Felix Rivet finished in 16th place, earning All-Region honors. The Frenchman completed the race in 31:21.81, a new personal record. Rivet will wait until Monday to see if he qualifies for the National Championships in Sacramento, Ca. on Saturday, Nov. 23.
Sophomore
Josue Le Cadre and freshman
Conyer Wilson rounded out the top three Greyhound finishers. Le Carde placed 125th (33:41.06) with Wilson taking 130th (33:47.13). As a team, the Greyhounds placed 22nd with 602 points.
On the women's side, junior
Emma Gaston clocked 24:43.86 during her 6k race, finishing in 150th. Seniors
Kaylin Casner and
Trinity Gleitz were the only other Greyhounds to compete. Casner and Gleitz finished back-to-back in 187th and 188th, respectively.
