Romeoville, Ill. — Senior Felix Rivet clocked 23:53.10 in the 47th annual men's 8k race at the 2025 GLVC Cross Country Championships, breaking his own school record (24:06.02) set at last year's conference championships.
Rivet's time earned him a third-place finish and his second All-Conference honor for cross country. Senior Hailey Orosz, sophomore Conyer Wilson and Junior Josue Le Cadre also earned All-GLVC honors for the Hounds. Orosz led the women's squad with a fifth-place finish, clocking 21:50.18 in the women's 6k, finishing one second ahead of her previous personal record. Wilson was the second Greyhound to cross the finish line, clocking a 24:31.68, over a minute faster than his previous personal best. Le Cadre bested his own personal record by 49.63 seconds to finish the 8k in 24:56.47, giving him a top-20 finish.
On the day 18, Greyhound competitors in the squad saw 16 personal bests with 17 season's bests.
The men's squad earned a fourth-place finish, tallying 86 points with the help of Yanis Le Mouillour, Ian Pugh, and Jacob Chapman. Le Mouillour clocked a 25:20.05, improving his personal best by 1:41.35. Pugh, Chapman, Noah Vachon, Will Moser, Evan Bense, Kyle Boardman and Elijah Pitcock all clocked new personal bests, while Curt Dahnchke recorded a season's best in Saturday's championships.
Led by Orosz, the women's squad earned a 7th-place finish on 186 points. Freshman Savannah Danielson was the second Hound to the finish in the women's race with a new personal record of 23:26.58. Just a few seconds behind Danielson freshman Sophia Stadler and senior Emma Gaston crossed the finish line with 41st and 42nd place finishes, respectively. Melissa White came in at 26:44.3, a 1:44.5 personal best for the Sophomore. Freshman Evelyn Medina rounded out the scoring for the Hounds, clocking a 27:52.49.
