Greyhounds Drop Midweek Matchup With Bulldogs

INDIANAPOLIS – The No. 12-ranked University of Indianapolis women's tennis team suffered a loss to the Division I Butler Bulldogs late on Wednesday night. The Bulldogs took the doubles point and three matches in singles to take the match 4-2. With the loss, the all-time Circle City series between the programs moves to 7-5 in favor of the Greyhounds, with this being the first time the Bulldogs have captured victory since 2016.

INS & OUTS
The Greyhounds made some lineup switches in doubles, as the pair of Diane Flament and Tyffaine Pais played No. 1 while Maissane Aik and Benedetta Sensi manned the No. 2 slot. The Bulldogs, however, snagged wins at No. 1 and No. 3, both 6-2 to earn the point.

Facing a deficit, No. 7-ranked Pais went to work, evening the score with a 6-3, 6-3 result out of the No. 3 slot. No. 25 Ana Hollweg was the other Hound to earn a victory, stealing a 7-6, 6-4 victory from the Bulldogs at No. 4. The Northside Bulldogs iced the match with victories at No. 1, No. 2 and No. 6, all in straight sets.
