INDIANAPOLIS – The No. 12-ranked University of Indianapolis women's tennis team suffered a loss to the Division I Butler Bulldogs late on Wednesday night. The Bulldogs took the doubles point and three matches in singles to take the match 4-2. With the loss, the all-time Circle City series between the programs moves to 7-5 in favor of the Greyhounds, with this being the first time the Bulldogs have captured victory since 2016.

The Greyhounds made some lineup switches in doubles, as the pair of
Diane Flament and
Tyffaine Pais played No. 1 while
Maissane Aik and
Benedetta Sensi manned the No. 2 slot. The Bulldogs, however, snagged wins at No. 1 and No. 3, both 6-2 to earn the point.

Facing a deficit, No. 7-ranked Pais went to work, evening the score with a 6-3, 6-3 result out of the No. 3 slot. No. 25
Ana Hollweg was the other Hound to earn a victory, stealing a 7-6, 6-4 victory from the Bulldogs at No. 4. The Northside Bulldogs iced the match with victories at No. 1, No. 2 and No. 6, all in straight sets.

The Hounds are off this coming weekend, with UIndy not returning to the court until Feb. 23 at the UIndy Tennis Center where they welcome in the Findlay Oilers. The match is set to start at 4 p.m.
