CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky. - The No. 13 UIndy women's lacrosse team defeated Thomas More 26-4 in their highest-scoring game this season. The in-region win was the first time the two teams faced each other. The Greyhounds now improve to 2-1 on the season and are currently on a two-game win streak.

Mackenzie Winn was the star of the field for UIndy. Winn finished the game with a career-high 11 points. The senior scored four goals and had seven assists, another career high.

INS & OUTS
The Hounds offense quickly took over the game by scoring five uncontested goals in the first seven minutes of play. Five different players were able to find the back of the net. Thomas More was not able to get a shot off until their first goal of the game which was 11 minutes into the contest. UIndy responded to this goal by scoring three more goals before the end of the quarter.

This momentum carried the Greyhounds through the rest of the quarter. The largest run of the day for the Hounds was six unanswered goals in the last 13 minutes of the first half.
Caroline Krauch and
Megan Dunn each scored two goals during this time. UIndy finished the first 20 minutes leading the Saints, 15-2.

Coming out of halftime UIndy did not slow down. The Greyhounds scored five goals in the third and six in the fourth. The defense held Thomas More to only two goals for the rest of the contest, all in the third quarter.

INSIDE THE BOX
- 12 Hounds found the back of the net. Dunn scored four goals and four more players had three goals to their name. The team finished with a season-high 43 points.
- UIndy was able to get off 35 shots, 32 of which were on goal.
- The Greyhounds picked up 17 ground balls. This was led by
Olivia Grogan who had three. Thomas More was held to only six ground balls.
- The Hounds were also able to keep control of the ball only turning over the ball eight times. Compared to Thomas More, who turned over the ball 15 times.

Ava Graham and
Lylian Iman both clocked 30 minutes in front of the net. Both players gave up two goals and Iman had the only save of the day for the Greyhounds.

UP NEXT
UIndy will travel to North Canton, Ohio to face Walsh. The contest is set to take place on Sunday, Feb. 25 with the game scheduled for noon.
