Walker, Seniors Lift Greyhounds to Big Win Over Rockhurst

INDIANAPOLIS – The UIndy men's basketball team showed out for Senior Day on Saturday, earning an 89-74 victory over Rockhurst to complete the season sweep.

The four seniors – Jesse Bingham, David Ejah, Kendrick Tchoua, and Josiah Tynes – combined for 47 points, 29 rebounds, 14 assists, six blocks, and six steals.

Jarvis Walker outshined them all, however, finishing with 31 points on 10-of-16 shooting and seven 3-pointers. The redshirt-junior added two assists and two rebounds to his line.

INS & OUTS
The Greyhounds orchestrated an impressive 14-0 run to head into the locker room after trailing by double digits late in the first half. With what started with Walker's second triple of the afternoon, Tchoua capped with a pair of free throws as a minute loomed on the game clock.

The second half was all Hounds, who led by as many as 22 with less than 10 minutes remaining when Sean Craig hit his second 3-pointer of the contest. Walker, who had 21 points after the break, drilled another 3-pointer at the 7:40 mark to force a Rockhurst timeout.

Tynes joined on the 3-point party with 3:30 left, as the senior sank his lone triple right in front of the Greyhound bench.

The tone was set early in the second half after Tchoua committed one of his four thefts in the win followed by a monstrous dunk.

INSIDE THE BOX
- Ejah contributed four of his five blocks in the second half.
- UIndy capitalized on seven second-half offensive rebounds, scoring 11 second-chance points.

- With its 31-for-62 shooting effort, UIndy has now made at least 50 percent of its field goals in three of the past seven games.
- Tynes was credited with a career-high eight assists, while Tchoua secured a career-best 17 boards.
