Hounds Suffocate Storm for Saturday Win

PAINESVILLE, Ohio – The No. 8 UIndy men's lacrosse team won its third straight game on Saturday afternoon, picking up a 13-3 victory against Lake Erie College. The Greyhounds have allowed seven or less goals during that stretch, including back-to-back games with four or less.

UIndy was working on a shutout for more than 34 minutes, building a 7-0 lead in the process.

Nathan Lam and Triston Schaffer both netted hat tricks, while KC Carlson made seven saves between the pipes.

INS & OUTS
Six different Greyhounds scored before the Storm sniffed the scoreboard, including consecutive man-up goals from Sam Puzevic and Schaffer. The UIndy defense was on a mission, with only one Lake Erie shot making its way to Carlson until the second half.

The Hounds never gave the Storm hope, as Owain Braddock and Nick Luitwieler sandwiched a four-goal run early in the fourth quarter. Lam scored the final tally to earn his second hat trick of the spring, following Schaffer's third consecutive feat.

UIndy caused eight of Lake Erie's 30 turnovers, with Trevor Lockwood joining Luitwieler with a pair each.
