INDIANAPOLIS - The No. 5 UIndy softball team downed the Miners of Missouri S&T in a conference doubleheader bout on Saturday. The Greyhounds are now on a seven-game win streak and remain undefeated at home.

GAME 1 | UIndy 6, Missouri S&T 0
Braxton Downs helped the Hounds start hot in the first. Â With two runners on base, Downs sent the ball into center field for a two-RBI double. This capped a three-run rally for UIndy to start the game up 3-0. Downs added two more ribbies to her name with a homer into right center.

Kenzee Smith was the winning pitcher in game one and is now 20-1 on the season. The three-time All-American pitcher secured her 14th shutout of the season. Facing 28 batters, Smith struck out eight and walked only one.

Dominique Proctor and
Lexy Rees each garnered a ribbie on a double.
Shelby Cook also grabbed a double during game one.

GAME 2 | UIndy 9, Missouri S&T 1 (5 innings)
Entering the bottom of the fifth, the Hounds were up 5-1.
Tori Angles stepped up to the plate as a pinch hitter for the Greyhounds. With two Hounds on base, Angles sent the ball flying over the fence to enact the run rule. This is the junior's first homer of the season and third of her career.

Jayden Casebolt grabbed her 13th win of the season. Facing 22 batters, Casebolt finished with one strikeout and two walks on the day.

Cook had another double in game two with
Megan Nichols also hitting one. Proctor took one for the team and was hit by a pitch for the second time of the day.

UIndy wraps up their homestand with a match-up against Maryville. The doubleheader is slated to begin at noon at Baumgartner Field.
