Bladon, Greyhounds Ground Griffons in Final Road Game of Regular Season

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. – The No. 14 UIndy women's lacrosse team dominated the second half on Sunday, earning a 14-5 victory at league adversary Missouri Western. The Greyhounds improve to 5-0 against the Griffons in the all-time series.

Olivia Bladon led all players with five goals, becoming the first Hound to reach 50 for the season. In net, Ava Graham made eight saves and scooped up two ground balls.

INS & OUTS
The Greyhounds erupted after halftime, scoring 23 seconds into the third quarter and then four more times in the final 10 minutes. Ella Fornek netted a pair during the stretch, while Joey Fowler capped the run with her first goal of the afternoon as 17 ticks left on the scoreboard.

Missouri Western barely sniffed the net in the fourth frame, failing to put a shot on goal after Graham's eighth and final save with 14:30 remaining. The Griffons turned possession over six times in the final quarter, accounting for half of their turnovers. The Hounds caused four of those turnovers, including one from Olivia Grogan.

Mackenzie Winn also finished with five points for the 10th time this season, dishing out four assists in the win.

It was an entertaining, and lower scoring, first half as UIndy led 5-3 at the break. Graham made six of her stops in the first 30 minutes, while Megan Dunn and Malaena Michielin joining Bladon in the scoring column.
