INDIANAPOLIS – The No. 11 UIndy men's lacrosse picked up a top-20 victory on Saturday, defeating No. 20 Lewis by a score of 15-10 from Key Stadium. The Greyhounds rebounded from last season's GLVC semifinal loss, improving to
6-1 in the all-time series against the Flyers.
Â
Owain Braddock recorded a career-high seven points and five goals, while
Jack Sullivan dominated the midfield with 10 ground balls.

INS & OUTS
It took Braddock approximately 17 minutes of game action to tally a hat trick on the afternoon, jumpstarting a huge second quarter for UIndy that outscored Lewis, 7-2, to lead by five at the break. The Hounds took advantage of the Flyers' seven miscues in the frame, scoring four times off turnovers, including goals from
Nick Luitwieler and
Justin Williams.
Â
The tough Greyhound defense stood tall, refusing to let the Flyers within three the rest of the way.
Triston Schaffer netted his fourth goal of the contest to put UIndy up six just after halftime, while
Nathan Lam capped the quarter with a fast break score from
Dylan Braddock.
Â
It was much of the same in the final 15 minutes, as the Greyhounds fended off a pair of quick Flyer goals to reach double digits.
Easton Ong halted the short visitor run before D. Braddock scored the final goal of the afternoon with under four minutes left.
